The Society for the Promotion of Physics, Medicine and Surgery awarded Hans Clevers the Swammerdam medal last Friday, November 18th. Hans Clevers receives the medal for his pioneering research on stem cells in various organs in our body.
I & H Wachter Award
The “Ilse & Helmut Wachter Stiftung” was founded in order to support and acknowledge medical sciences for the welfare of mankind. The award is given for exceptional scientific achievements in all fields of medicine and is open to scientists of all nationalities. The winner is determined by the board of the Foundation.
Hans Clevers
Prof. dr. Hans Clevers is senior group leader at the Hubrecht Institute, Professor of Molecular Genetics at the University Medical Center Utrecht and Utrecht University and Scientific Director of the Princess Máxima Center for pediatric oncology.
