12 April 2016 King at centenary Hubrecht Institute Back to news On May 18, 2016 His Majesty the King will visit the Hubrecht Institute. The institute is part of the Royal Dutch Academy of Sciences (KNAW) and celebrates its centenary that week. The King will visit three labs of the Institute, including those for growing mini-organs. In the labs (young) researchers will give an explanation about their research. Afterwards the King will open the anniversary festivities with the unveiling of an artwork that symbolises the research of the Hubrecht Institute. In addition to the official opening, the institute organizes a scientific conference on May 19th and opens its doors for the public on the 21st of May.
