Inflatable intestine at open day Hubrecht Institute

On May 21 a large inflatable intestine can be found at the open day of the Hubrecht Institute. The inflatable intestine of the Maag Lever Darm Stichting can be found in hospitals and research institutes throughout the Netherlands to stress the importance of early detection of colorectal cancer. 

Besides visiting the intestine, visitors of the open day can learn more about the research of the Hubrecht Institute. There is a ‘Scientific Experience Plaza’ where visitors can do experiments and learn more about DNA, cell biology, cancer and the use of worms and fish in science. Furthermore there are mini-lectures by group leaders.
